Stephen Byrd is President and CEO of Energy Storage & Power, LLC (ES&P). Prior to joining ES&P, Byrd was senior vice president of finance and business development for PSEG and president of PSEG Energy Holdings. His responsibilities at PSEG included new business development efforts focused on energy storage, large-scale solar generation projects and a 350-megawatt wind farm to be located approximately 16 miles off the shore of southern New Jersey. At PSEG, Byrd also had responsibility for merger and acquisition (M&A) activities and management of generation assets in California, Hawaii and New Hampshire.
 
Prior to joining PSEG, Byrd was executive director of the Global Energy and Utilities Group in the investment banking firm of Morgan Stanley. In this position, he had the lead role in developing transactions involving a combination of investment banking, commodities and structured finance capabilities. In the M&A area, he advised on a broad range of transactions, from less than $100 million to more than $40 billion in size. In the financing area, his execution roles included initial public stock offerings for a variety of energy technology companies, principal investments in private companies, convertible offerings and high-yield and investment grade debt offerings.
