Prior to joining NGBF, Connie Lausten was manager of federal affairs for National Grid USA. She served at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and in Congress on the Subcommittee for Energy Policy, Natural Resources & Regulatory Affairs, where she was instrumental in designing western United States energy legislation which was subsequently implemented by FERC. She is a recipient of the American Society of Mechanical Engineer Congressional Fellowship and served in the office of former member Cal Dooley of California. Lausten’s was also a senior engineer for Bechtel Power Inc., where she managed renewable energy commercialization projects, an engineer with Alternative Energy Development, Inc., a consulting and project development firm, and a renewable energy specialist assigned to the World Bank’s Asia Energy Unit. |
