ST. LOUIS, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At today's meeting of the
Board of Directors of The Laclede Group, Inc. (NYSE: LG), the Board increased
the quarterly dividend from 37 1/2 cents per share to 38 1/2 cents per share
on its common stock, par value $1.00 per share, which represents $1.54 on an
annualized basis. The dividend will be payable on January 2, 2009, to
shareholders of record on December 11, 2008. This marks the 62nd consecutive
year for the payment of cash dividends by the Company, and its predecessor,
Laclede Gas Company, on its common stock.
In addition, the Board of Directors of Laclede Gas Company declared the
quarterly dividend of 31 1/4 cents per share on its preferred stock, series B,
and the quarterly dividend of 28 1/2 cents per share on its preferred stock,
series C, payable December 31, 2008 to stockholders of record December 11,
2008.
